Election Day is just two months away, but legal battles over the race have already begun in some states. In Georgia, the Republican-controlled State Elections Board passed a rule that would allow election officials to conduct “reasonable investigations” before certifying results. Democrats are suing to stop it, arguing that the bar for these “reasonable” investigations is not clearly set and could allow any board member to stop the certification of election results for any reason.
