London — Oasis will reunite for a tour, the Britpop band of their timeless hits like “Wonderwall” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” announced Tuesday, ending a 15-year hiatus and possibly, A long-standing quarrel between the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher.
Tickets for the 14-date tour go on sale Saturday at 9 a.m., the guitar band said. The tour will begin July 4-5, 2025 in Cardiff, Wales, before moving on to four dates in Manchester, four in London’s Wembley Stadium, two in Edinburgh and two in Dublin, where the tour will conclude on August 17, the band said in a social media post.

Behind the band’s breakup
Oasis split after years of conflict in 2009, with Noel Gallagher officially leaving the band just before a performance at a festival near Paris. Even before the disbandment, the brothers had long had an adversarial relationship and reportedly did not speak to each other for years after the split.
The band’s guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher wrote in a statement at the time, “People will write and say what they like, but I couldn’t work with Liam another day.”
Although the Gallagher brothers have not performed together since, both perform Oasis songs regularly at their solo gigs. They have each stopped criticizing each other in the press.

Noel Gallagher blamed his younger brother for the hangover that forced them to cancel a 2009 concert. The frontman disputed the allegations and sued, later dropping the suit.
In 2011, Noel Gallagher told The Associated Press in an interview that he left the band after an incident in which Liam Gallagher “started playing a guitar like an ax … and he was swinging this guitar around and you know he took this band. My with it. Shut up, you know?”
In 2019, Liam Gallagher told the AP that he was open to a reunion.
“The most important thing is about me and him being brothers,” he said. “He thinks I’m desperate to get the band back together for the money. But I didn’t join the band to make money. I joined the band to have fun and see the world.”
“I don’t know what his problem is,” he continued. “I think she just wanted to go off and have her solo career, get all the coins and be surrounded by all the yes men you can shoot and hire whenever she wants. You can’t do that to me.”
Hints become reality

Before Tuesday’s announcement, Oasis were already excited to release a new collection, “Sure Could Be – Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition,” celebrating the anniversary of their debut album.
Rumors of a potential reunion were fueled this past weekend when Liam Gallagher responded on social media to unconfirmed reports of the band playing London’s Wembley Stadium and Manchester’s Heaton Park. When a social media user criticized Heaton Park, the Manchester native wrote, “See you next time,” calling the user a profanity. In another stand-alone post on X, he teased, “I never liked the word FORMER.”
“You tell me,” Liam Gallagher replied. He also responded to several negative tweets about a potential reunion with “You have a bad attitude” and “Shootup”. Noel Gallagher, on the other hand, remained silent except for posting the teaser.
