By inviting singers from around the world, the non-profit Opera for Peace hopes to foster greater diversity in opera performers and inspire the next generation of opera audiences. Reporter Seth Doan spoke with African American singer Hannah Jean Jones, who traveled to Rome to participate in the program; and with soprano Foroz Razavi, who sang with an Iranian R&B group before falling in love with opera.
