Mexico is a megadiverse country due to its vast territory and the many cultural factors that have influenced it throughout its history. Its population is not homogeneous, but consists of thousands of different communities. Sometimes the links between certain groups are so strong that the creation of new federative entities is considered.

This state would include the five districts of Huasteca: Tuxpan and Tampico in Veracruz and Tankanhuitz, Huejutla and southern Tamaulipas. In addition, the project could cover the municipalities of Hidalgo, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis PotosÃ, Tamaulipas, Veracruz and even Guanajuato states.
